These corrugated tubes are made of stainless steel or copper and are named as stainless corrugated tube,metal bellows,stainless flexible tube or metal hose.

Flexible tubes are used as flexible joints absorbing vibration of piping system and dislocation of the pipes. They are also used for gas pipes inside buildings and pipes for drinking water.Metal flexible tubes are classified into two types: annular type and helical type. A tube of annular type has an excellent flexibility and is easy to be connected with joint while it has a drawback of strong fluid resistance. A tube of helical type is not as flexible as annular type tubes and connection with the joints is quite complicated. But it has less fluid resistance compared with annular type tube and has an excellent spring characteristics. So, one of the two types can be selected and used depending on the usage.

Dong-A’s stainless steel corrugated tubes, which is approved by UL(USA), RWTUV(Germany) and is certified as quality products with NET, KS(KSD3628) by the Korean government, are supplied in a roll up to 1,200m and used for water piping system inside buildings. The corrugation pitch is slightly wider to reduce the fluid resistance and thus generate no vibration or noise. It connects with screw-in-field type of fitting with cone packing (NBR, E.P.D.M, Silicon, Graphite).

Endless roll type of helical type corrugated tube, which is approved by UL(USA), RWTUV(Germany) and is certified only as a quality product with NET, KS(KSD3628) by the Korean government, is the ideal product for a heat exchanger.

The plate pincoil for a heat exchanger is expensive as its manufacturing process is very complicated, and weak in corrosion.
Hence, it is increasingly replaced by the helical type corrugated tubes for a heat exchanger developed by Dong-A, which has a narrow-pitch, and a higher peak. (Product specifications are subject to the customers’ particulars.)

The corrugated tube which is approved by UPC(USA), ANSI(American standard), CSA(Canadian standard), RWTUV(Germany) and is quality certified as new technology (NET) by Korean government. In order to manufacture gas connector (AISI 221.24) as metal joint type, it is offered with swaging on both ends of annular type stainless steel flexible tube & flare type or flare type metal joint connector.

Conventional sprinkler joints have more than 6 spots of jointing with the risk of water leakage as their elbow and reducer are assembled and connected after screw processing is done on the tips of the both sides of a steel pipe. It is quite hard to adjust location of the sprinkler head up or down or right or left. Also, installation of the equipment on the narrow ceiling requires high-skilled construction workers and long time due to the obstacles of the structure such as air-cooling, heating ducts, electricity and communications facilities.

Superiority
We are using AISI 304 or 316L pipe (stainless steel pipe for the general piping with KSD 3595) which are excellent for durability and corrosion resistance in order to form the corrugation and then we perform the heat-treatment solution.
So they are the best hygienic piping materials.
